There's no news in the truth, and no truth in the news (Russian proverb)

Yet another ruthlessly devious piece of propaganda, here - pulling on the social justice heartstrings by suggesting hospital admissions have spiked amongst those in low-income work because such jobs "mean they can't socially distance".

There is, of course, zero credible scientific evidence to show that "social distancing" (a suitably Satanic inversion in terms) protects anyone from anything. If it did, there would be repeated and dramatic spikes in hospitalisations after anti-lockdown protests, where tens of thousands of maskless people crowd together hugging and handshaking etc, yet there never is.

The actual explanation for this phenomenon, which IS backed up by science and multiple credible studies, is that low-income people are far more likely to vaccinate.

Affluent, well-educated people with good jobs are the most likely not to, and the more highly educated you are - particularly if your education involved statistical methodology - the less likely you are to vaccinate.

That's why, globally, in multiple countries, and without exception, the wealthiest areas always have the lowest vaccination rates, and the poorest always have the highest - with the concomitant highest rates in infant mortality.

It is a point of irrefutable epidemiological fact that those most likely to complete the childhood vaccination schedule on time and in full are high-school dropouts.

The Covid vaccine has recently been made available to people in their 30s and 40s, and, because of the facts above, the highest uptake by far in this cohort - the cohort that has suddenly seen a spike in hospital admissions - will be amongst people in low income work.

That's why hospitalisations have suddenly spiked in this particular demographic. The news story even outright states that "many hospital admissions have received the first dose of the vaccine [but not the second]", implying it is a deficit of sufficient vaccination responsible for the admission, a clever sleight of hand, because the report does not mention how many admissions had received NO vaccinations. You can be sure it is effectively zero, because were it not, that would be blasted all over the papers - UNVACCINATED IDIOTS RESPONSIBLE FOR SURGE IN HOSPITALISATIONS!

The only reason most admissions have had one, rather than two, vaccines, is because those in their 30s and 40s only recently started getting vaccinated. Apart from those with clinical vulnerabilities, who will have been vaccinated earlier, most in this age group haven't had time to get their second dose yet, as there is an 8-12 week delay between shots. When they do get them, hospitalisations will soar again. This will be blamed on a "new variant", and the elephant in the room - that those who have received no vaccines are not getting hospitalised - will routinely be ignored.

Please, propagandists, prove me wrong (spoiler alert: you can't).
