Reach for the bars...

If you’re reading this now, then I'm very pleased, as it means that the many and manifold attempts of felonious forces and evil algorithms to prevent me from reaching people have, in your case at least, failed...

Unfortunately, however, they’re proving all too successful in far too many other cases, and this is creating quite the crisis at Miri AF enterprises...

In order to maintain my current model, which doesn't rely on advertisers or sponsorship deals from any shady corporate interests who may try to pull rank and control content (sadly this is common in all forms of media), I need to keep growing my audience, and reaching new genuine supporters, because that is how the model remains sustainable in the long-term - and, fully aware of this fact, the powers that be are determined to thwart all my efforts to do this... The primary way I, like all online content creators, reach new people is via social media - and all my accounts there are under permanent heavy restriction.

On my main “Miri Anne” Facebook profile, where I have the biggest following of all my platforms - nearly 15,000 friends and followers - and where I used to get hundreds or even thousands of likes - and, crucially, shares - for posts, it is now not uncommon for me to post things which get effectively zero engagement (I posted two things the other day that, four hours later, had got one and two likes respectively; one from Mark, and the other from Mark on his other account…).

My other FB account, "Miri Anne's Page", is permanently restricted for "repeatedly sharing false and harmful information", so I only reach a tiny fraction of its 4k+ followers, whilst I’ve been permanently banned from Twitter under my real name, and, although I have a new account under a different name (related to my other resource, Informed Consent Matters), the reach is much smaller (and a certain former BBC journalist is currently trying to get me banned from there too, so we'll see how that pans out!).

I've tried the more "independent" platforms like Gab and Gettr but my reach there is even worse, and the fact remains that the vast majority of people spend most of their social media time on the "big three" - Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. All of which I am permanently shadow banned on...

Some very kind individuals have said to me something along the lines of, "your work is really good, I can't understand why more people don't know about you". Thank you... but this is why - I am (cue dramatic musical crescendo) ruthlessly opposed at every turn by the evil overlords through their various perma-bans, shadow bans, de-monetisation (their having permanently banned me from PayPal), and an overall ever-decreasing ability to reach new people - which is vital if I am to sustain my model of no paywalls, no adverts, and no corporate backers - just reader donations (this is the only model that guarantees true independence, and immunises this site against any attempts from dark forces to control its content).

I'm very appreciative indeed of all readers who do donate to my work, because this is the vital fuel that enables my site to keep existing, despite the many and various attempts to destroy it, and while some donors choose to give a smaller monthly amount (average is around £5), most who donate choose to give a larger one-off sum. Anyone who runs on a donations model will tell you most people would rather do a one-off than commit to anything longer term, and of course, that is completely understandable and I appreciate all donations very much - monthly or one-off, bigger or smaller.

However, because most of my donations do come through one-offs, that then means I need to keep reaching more people to ensure those crucial one-offs keep coming through from new readers, That means when "they" so severely limit my ability to reach new people, my whole model is in danger.

So, if you enjoy reading my musings, and would like to help keep my model sustainable, please do share my pieces as and when you can - I know many of you already do and thank you. However, please note Facebook seems to have blacklisted my link so probably best to put it in the comments!

We know that harsh censorship of "unapproved" ideas is a major agenda item, and unfortunately, in the digital age, "they" have the power to effectively censor us simply by adjusting an algorithm so nobody hears what we say. It's the obvious solution for them - simply put all alternative and dissident news under permanent shadow bans, so people feel like they're speaking out, as they have a platform on which to share their thoughts - but nobody actually hears them.

So thank you for all your support to date and for helping me stay visible and vocal as they try ever harder (and they will) to silence us. But as they learned through the fake pandemic - no matter how hard they try - we don't submit to being muzzled.

Thanks for reading! This site is 100% reader-funded, with no paywalls, adverts, or wealthy corporate backers, meaning your support is what powers this site to keep going. If you would like to make a contribution of any size, please do so through...

  1. BuyMeACoffee for one-off or monthly donations
  2. Patreon, for monthly pledges
  3. Direct bank transfer, for either monthly or one-off donations, to Nat West, a/c 30835984, s/c 54-10-27, account name FINCH MA

Your support is what enables this site to continue to exist, and is enormously appreciated. Thank you.

  1. Recently, Hotmail started to place your emails into "junk". No idea why (except to censor you, of course). I realised quite quickly, because I look out for your regular emails. I then had to mark your address as "not junk", and from that point your regular emails are visible in the main inbox again. As you say, 'felonious forces and evil algorithms',..

  2. Thanks LM, very interesting/sinister... and in fact Gmail does this to me too - marks emails from me to me (I always send a test email to myself before sending to the whole list) as "not safe" - no matter how many times I select "mark as safe". Evil everywhere indeed!

  3. Hi Miri, Have you considered Substack? I follow numerous amazing writers on that platform. Worth a peek. Kind Regards, Paul

  4. Hi, Miri,

Have you considered using the Substack platform? I rarely check in with Facebook anymore (my protest!), however I still enjoy reading your missives when I receive the notification in my email. Over the last year I've subscribed to many different authors who use Substack; nearly all offer free and also upgrade options. Several have the "Buy me a Coffee" option. I'd love to see you on Substack as it is a good platform that allows many options and increased readership for authors. I've enjoyed your missives ever since discovering you on FB two years ago. Best regards.

  5. I have tried to text links to your articles to my wife, and she never gets them. She gets everything I send before and after, but MiriAF links never show up. I guess T-Mobile is working against you too!
Also, I agree with the above comments about Substack. Seems like a good platform, for now…

  6. I am now reading a lot of articles on substack. Have you considered Telegram? Please continue with your marvellous missives. In the last couple of days in conversation I have found myself saying check out MiriAF she's written a brilliant article about that!

  7. I have just started to sign up for articles in substack. Worth a try. Gmail keeps putting your email in promotions but I find it

  8. Thank you everyone for the comments and kind words 🙂

I am in fact in the process of signing up for Substack and will keep you posted!

It's quite shocking to learn that even T-Mobile is blocking my links... must be doing something right, I guess...

  9. I have shared your website several times on substack especially those with thousands of subscribers, hoping they click the link. Have received some likes too! Whether these are from here or new people, I don't know. But what I do know is that no-one writes and sees they way you do, maybe John Rappoport who uses satire as well, to expose the truth. I think after reading just one of your articles, people will subscribe. I'm certain many will be willing to pay, whether monthly or one offs. I look forward to seeing you on there.

  10. Twitter is my social-media-drug-of-choice so thx for giving out your alternative a/c there. I'm now following and will try and retweet as much as possible.

Oh and the link at the bottom of the page still points to your suspended a/c, so maybe update that to the "MattersInformed" one
